Night In Venice– 7/28–Ocean City NJ

“A bit of Mardi Gras, Jersey Shore style”

Only Ocean City NJ could come up with this great, fun event. What is IT? It is a fantastic parade of boats traveling along the inland waterways of Ocean City. Each boat has its own theme. Participants on the boats wear theme costumes or  zanny out-fits, just for the fun of it. In the meantime, the houses along the bay also join in by decorating their decks and homes with even more creative themes. Of course, each house has a theme party going on at the same time

The City’s annual boat parade is one of the largest in the world.  Starts at 7:00 pm from the Longport Bridge to Tennessee Ave. along the bay. For more information call 609-525-9300.

Governor’s Cup Hydrofest

A truly remarkable sight of speed on the water. You love how they glide on top of the water! These are top notch power boat drivers.
On Sunset Lake at Rambler Road and New Jersey Avenue, Wildwood Crest. The Wildwoods NJ Governor’s Cup Hydrofest is an exciting international powerboat racing event, coupled with a 6-block festival of craft, merchandise and food vendors as well as displays. Inboard powered hydroplanes and flatbottoms will compete on a one-mile oval course in full view of the spectator area. Boats range in size from 12 to 23 feet and will reach speeds between 80 and 140 mph!
